Subject: Lesley Update - 3/29 Date: Wed, 29 Mar 2000 22:11:19 -0500 From: David Baldauf There is not much to report on. Let me tell you, that is good news! Lesley continues to do very well and has improved since our last update. Her eye is bothering her much less - she doesn't keep it covered all the time as she had been, and she is only using Tylenol for an eye ache about every other day, and even then usually only once a day. Her strength is good and she is on the treadmill about 5 days a week. The swelling in her soft spot in her head has even gone down. She is very much engaged in the kids' lives and is still doing lots of stuff around the house. (I guess it pays to have a big house :-)) She goes out shopping and dining with me at times. Her mood is generally very good with a good sense of humor. Really the only current negative is the aphasia. Even that seems easier to deal with when everything else is going so well. Lesley's dad came in on Sunday and is staying for 2 weeks. Neuro ophthalmology appointment (just a checkup) on Monday; MRI, blood test, and neuro oncologist on Tuesday; start of Round 5 of chemo on Wednesday (hopefully). Her day 21 blood counts were good. Let's hope the good stability stays! Some more stuff out on http://www.davebaldauf.com if you'd like to take a peek.
