Subject: Lesley Update - 11/28/00 Date: Tue, 28 Nov 2000 16:22:54 -0500 From: David Baldauf Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I hope yours was as good as ours. We had a great visit with the doctor last Monday (20th). Lesley had an MRI done in the morning, and we met with the doctor in the afternoon. The doctor said there was virtually no change in her MRI and he thought she looked good. He was very pleased with her, and as a sort of Thanksgiving present, told us that Lesley is doing as well as he could have possibly hoped for. When I asked him about the other gbm patients on the Temodar, he said he does have a patient who is 18 months into it. It is such a mild chemo that you can just keep going as long as it's effective. Halloween was terrific! I got to go out with the kids and walk around the neighborhood in the drizzly, chilly night. Not teeth chattering cold, but close. What was terrific was that Lesley was home giving out candy by herself. For last year's Halloween, she was undergoing emergency surgery and the children went with friends in their neighborhood and wore partially completed costumes. I am quite happy; for some apparently irrational reason I was afraid this would be the MRI that would show growth. I'm glad to be wrong.
